Packed lunches 
Due to the new government guidelines 2015-2016 which is looking into childhood obesity, we have an obligation at Pre-School to set guidelines for the packed lunches provided by parents.

 

Here are some recommended lunch box ideas:

  • A source of carbohydrates such as sandwiches, wraps or pittas with a healthy filling of cheese, ham, tuna etc, or alternatives such as pitta bread and houmous, crackers or pasta salads.
  • A source of fruit and veg such as a pot of fruit of any variety or veg.
  • A source of calcium and dairy such as a yoghurt or cheese.

We ask for no chocolate bars or sweets to be brought in, any chocolate or sweets found in lunch boxes will be left in the lunch box to be consumed when parents collect.

 

Drinks

To support children's understanding of keeping healthy, please provide your child with a named water bottle each day and place this on the tray provided when they arrive.


Your child will have constant access to this bottle throughout the session.
